In FORM Architects was founded in '97 by directors Kiran Venkatesh & Nithya Srinivasan. They both hold Masters degrees in Architecture from U.S Universities and have worked in different firms in India and the United States.

DIRECTORS

Kiran Venkatesh

M.Arch (Ohio State University)

Kiran Venkatesh returned to India in September ’97 and set up a private practice in Bangalore. He was a Fellow at the Graduate School of Architecture, Ohio State University (1995-96). As part of the study abroad program at OSU, he was enrolled in the Graduate Design Group at the Architectural Association, London. After his Masters, he worked as Project Architect with Eisenman Architects in New York (1996 - 97).

His final year undergraduate design won the Best Thesis Award at the Architecture Department, IIT Kharagpur. Other honors include the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Award: Shankar Rao Parelkar Commemoration Fund Prize for Excellence in Architectural Design. Currently, he’s also involved in teaching design studios at B.M.S and R.V.C.E Architecture departments.

Nithya Srinivasan

M.Arch (Iowa State University)

Nithya Srinivasan is co-founder of In FORM Architects. During her graduate studies, she was bestowed the Premium for Academic Excellence - PACE Award (1994-95) and a Graduate College Scholarship (1994–96) by Iowa State University. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Design College, ISU for three semesters. After graduation, she worked as Assistant Production Editor with Plenum Publishing, New York to engage her interest in publishing. She obtained her B.Arch. (Hons.) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Both Kiran and Nithya have traveled extensively in Europe and the United States studying seminal Architectural projects and have had the opportunity to engage critical western architectural thoughts.

A. V. Chandrashekar

B.Arch (U.V.C.E. Bangalore)

Chandrashekar obtained his B. Arch degree in 1994 from U.V.C.E., Bangalore. After the third year, he trained with Architect Giridhar in Bangalore. He worked with Architect Dev Bildikar in Bangalore for three years before setting up a private practice on his own. He associates with InFORM on select projects.

Sandhya Kochar

B.Arch (R.V.C.E Bangalore)

Sandhya obtained her B.Arch degree in 1998 from R.V College of Engineering, Bangalore. Currently, in addition to her work at In FORM, she is designing and constructing a residence for her parents. During the course of her undergraduate studies she worked as an intern at Davis Design Group, Bangalore (March - July 97). In her seventh semester (1995-96), she stood first in the Bangalore University.

Reshma Kamat

B.Arch (G.C.A Goa)

Reshma obtained her B.Arch degree in 1996 from Goa College of Architecture. She has earlier worked at Sunil Sardessai & Associates, Goa for a period of one year (1997). During the course of her undergraduate studies she worked as an intern at Chandavarkar & Thacker, Bangalore (Feb – June 96).

Priya Bhawsar

B.Arch (U.V.C.E. Bangalore)

Priya obtained her B.Arch degree in 1999 from U.V.C.E, Bangalore. During the course of her undergraduate studies she worked at Christopher Charles Beninger and Associates, Pune (April - August 99). Along with Jayanthi, she's the recipient of a national award - TAMIR '96 and has received special mentions in NASA design events.

Jayanthi. M

B.Arch (U.V.C.E. Bangalore)

Jayanthi obtained her B.Arch degree in 1999 from U.V.C.E, Bangalore. During the course of her undergraduate studies she worked with Architect Dean D'Cruz, Goa (April - August 99). Along with Priya, she's the recipient of a national award - TAMIR '96 and has received special mentions in NASA design events.

Rama Raju G.

(R.V.C.E. Bangalore)

Rama Raju obtained his B.Arch in 1999 from R.V.C.E, Bangalore. After training at InFORM, he now associates with the firm on select projects.

Naveen Deshpande

(R.V.C.E. Bangalore)

Naveen obtained his B.Arch in 1999 from R.V.C.E, Bangalore. After a brief period of independent work and a stint at Team-2 Architects, he now works full time at InFORM Architects on a basis.
